“COURSE TAUGHT IN ENGLISH IN MADRID”
COURSE OVERVIEW
Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture (YNSA) is a comprehensive system for assessment, diagnosis, and acupuncture treatment developed by Japanese physician Toshikatsu Yamamoto.
Yamamoto’s YNSA was discovered in the 1960s and was first introduced to the world in 1973 at the Ryodoraku Congress in Osaka. Over the past 50 years, Dr. Yamamoto has continually worked to improve and refine the system.
In the early 1970s, the method consisted of a single somatotopy or microsystem (a correspondence between a point on an area of the body and a specific area of the central nervous system, organ, muscle, etc.) located on the forehead with five basic points. Throughout these years, Dr. Yamamoto has discovered many more points, as well as other somatotopies not only on the head but also in other parts of the body. Yamamoto’s YNSA is, after auriculotherapy, the most widely used microsystem worldwide.
The system is highly effective in treating both acute and chronic pain, as well as various neurological disorders, such as post-stroke sequelae. Additionally, it has been proven to be highly effective in numerous pathologies.

OBJECTIVES
This intensive weekend program will be taught in person by the course instructor and author of the accompanying book, Professor Juan Hahn.
The course aims to open up new professional horizons for acupuncture practitioners, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to master the Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture (YNSA) System.
The course will be held in person at in, with a strong practical focus where you will learn the techniques and system of Yamamoto’s YNSA scalp Acupuncture.
The course will include a theoretical introduction to this system and its evolution, from the first and only somatotopy (or microsystem) included in the early 1970s, to the additional somatotopies and points that Dr. Yamamoto has discovered in subsequent years—not only on the head but also in other parts of the body. Prof. Juan Hahn says…
I am pleased to present my YNSA New Scalp Acupuncture course, based on the acupuncture system developed by Dr. Yamamoto over the last half century.
YNSA is not just a technique. It is a complete acupuncture system which can be used independently or in combination with other acupuncture systems and manual therapies.
Dr. Yamamoto is one of the most extraordinary people I have ever met. I had the great privilege to train with him at Nichinan Hospital and the Miyazaki Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Yamamoto is a philanthropist, and an example to follow as a human being. Because of his humility, his joy, his will to live, his perseverance, and his spirit of struggle and self-improvement, he is a person who never “throws in the towel” and who always has a kind word and a smile ready to share with others.
